What a Year! 2025 Re-Cap
First we need to say THANK-YOU to all of our customers, donors, employees, volunteers, family, and kind people who surround our farm with love! We had major infrastructure challenges, struggles, and growth in a number of areas!
First the wonderful things that happened!
- We built and installed a new 12 head milking parlor with a pipeline system and milk handling room. Our milking labor time went from 3-3.5 hours EACH milking to 1 – 1.5 hours EACH milking! We went from carrying milk up the stairs in 5 gallon buckets to piping it directly into refrigerated bulk tanks. This is a SIMPLY AMAZING giant leap forward!
- We had 116 babies last year; by far the most we’ve ever had!
- Not only did we increase our sales by over 35%, but we were even a little bit profitable! For our size farm, this is a big accomplishment!
- We created more jobs! We went from 1 employee to 1.5 in 2025.
- We added one new product (Maple Skyr) that was a big hit!
Some of the tough stuff that we could not have survived without you!
- Massive spring rains that made us cancel one of our open days, followed by drought that made finding 2nd cut hay expensive and tough!
- The new milking system was supposed to be online July 1rst, and ended up not fully installed and working until early November. Our employees and volunteers were our superheroes!
- 30 baby goats escaped and 20 of them ate a poisonous plant, resulting in 9 heart-breaking deaths. The emotional AND financial stress of this was where our community stepped up and made donations, and bought Gift Cards – THANK YOU!
- The December Freeze! In order to make up for the baby goat losses and help pay for the new parlor, we decided to milk until Christmas (we’ve never done that before). Unfortunately, those 2 weeks before Christmas made all the pipes in the barn freeze and we ended up hauling countless 5 gallon buckets of hot water from the house to the parlor and cheese kitchen, along with other laborious work-arounds… a big thank you again to our employee, Donna Blouin, and our volunteers!
So what’s up 2026?
We are so excited about 2026!!
- BABIES! We are expecting 115-120 babies between March 22 – May 9th, with most of those babies hitting in April!! The happiest time of the year on the farm!
- OPEN DAYS: We are hosting 4 Open Days this Spring! At each event you will have a tour, tasting (if you want), and time to snuggle our sheep and goats! We love to share what we do, and what makes our products so deliciously unique! We hope to see you this spring!
- FARM TOURS: Private Tours: We really haven’t had the time in recent years to offer private tours, but with additional staff, we will encourage you to book with us here!
- FOOD: Goat milk will start to be available April 13th at the farm, and will be out for delivery to stores starting April 17th! Sheep milk, and all of our products will begin to be available on the farm April 26th and out for delivery to stores May 1rst.
- NEW PRODUCT! We are adding Honey Skyr to our line-up this year!
- INTERNS: Every year we have college interns either in our cheese kitchen or barn-yard, and we continue that tradition with Jade from YCCC who is in her last semester of Animal Management and here now thru birthing season! The Nutrition class from UNE comes every Spring to visit the farm and learn where we believe health and nutrition begins.
- CSA: Our CSA will run 21 weeks this year, pick-up at the farm is Friday after 3 p.m. through the weekend, self-service at your convenience!
- GIFT CARDS! We now sell gift cards! Three Charm Farm gift cards can be used for anything we sell, food, baby animals, Open Days, and tours!
- DONATIONS: We have also launched a Pay-It-Forward Donation Program where you can donate our products to our local food pantry!
- JOB CREATION! We will have at least 2 full-time employees this year, and likely a 3rd!
- FARM IMPROVEMENTS! We have been approved for our Dairy Improvement Fund loan and we will continue to expand our infrastructure in order to meet the demand for our unique, clean, nutritious products!
- WOOL IS COMING! For the first time, we will have our wool processed into yarn, roving, dryer balls, and wool garden pellets! These will be available for sale at the farm only (for now).
- FIND US IN THE WILD! Check out all of the shops and restaurants that sell our products! For Markets and Restaurants: Please contact us directly for a private tour for you and your staff of our facilities. We would love to show you where all the magic comes from in our products!
A special thank you, with love!

Overdue Recognition of Margareta Claesson! Many of you have met Margareta, (Ingrid’s Mom) here at the farm, or at your market or restaurant kitchen. At 86 years young, Margareta is our on-the-road Head of Sales. She is our secret weapon sales FORCE, one-of-a-kind tenacious, never take no for an answer, extraordinaire!
It is due to her efforts over the last 8 years that we have been able to expand our sales to all of these markets and restaurants from Portland to Portsmouth. She loves what she does, and we love her for all that she does. When you see her, ask her about her careers, as well as starting college, living in the dorms for 2.5 years starting at 80 years old. She has great stories to tell, and so much to share! Thank-you, Mom! ♥
